1.It's only for samsung? also plug laptop or others?
Answer: Any notebook or PC connector can fit and this cable is only designed for 2.5" drives. 3.5"/5.25" drives are not supported.
2. Do I need a power supply for the hard drive or does the adapter work without one?
Answer: Yes: For the 2.5'' hard drive driver it works without any problems. For the 3.5'' hard drive driver it does not work. The 2.5" drives only use a 5V power rail, which is why the adapter works for them. 3.5" drives have a 12V power rail in addition to the 5V power rail.
Will the USB 3.0 version work when connected to USB 2.0?
Answer: Yes: Yes, 3.0 and 2.0 are compatible.
